Main speaker: Ali Boulton, who has 10 years of experience in piloting a growing congregation in a new housing area and has wide experience in working with local community organisations and local planning departments and developers.

This Day Conference is only 2 weeks away – but there is still time to book!
It is open to anyone from any church tradition who has an interest in how we reach out in the many new housing areas that are developing throughout the area. It is jointly organised and is sponsored by New Housing Hub and Churches Together in Devon, with the support of the South West Baptist Association. All are welcome from any area of the South West – and even beyond!
If you are part of a church in Devon, your denomination has a limited number of free places provided by the Church of England, The Methodist Church, The Salvation Army The Roman Catholic Church, The United Reformed Church and the Baptist Church. Get in touch with your denominational office to obtain a code to get your free place via Eventbrite – the booking system we are using.

In this time of housing crisis, new housing developments are springing up all over Britain. Whole new communities and even towns are emerging sometimes with little in the way of community facilities, often with little capacity to nurture friendships amongst the new residents, usually against a backdrop of local protest, and almost always without a church building.

Our challenge as Christians is to work out our response to this changing landscape.

The New Housing Hub is committed to encouraging Christians to be a prophetic voice of welcome, amidst the sea of protest, and to work together to share God’s love with every new housing area.

Through keynote addresses, break out groups, a resource hub and networking together we will explore how to step into the unknown physically and spiritually to welcome and bless new residents and create opportunities for the Christian faith to be explored and nurtured in ways that are appropriate to the new context. Whether you are new to new housing engagement, or already in this context and keen to connect with others; whether you are developing a strategy or looking to be hands on in a new community; whether you are a church leader or member; come and share and learn together so that between us we can share God’s love with every new housing area in Devon and beyond.

This conference has been put together in partnership with Churches Together in Devon, this has enabled us to reduce the price of tickets to £10.
