Local Churches Together Groups

Across Devon, churches join together in many ways — often as Churches Together or Christians Together groups, and sometimes more formally in Local Ecumenical Partnerships.

These groups exist to strengthen the Christian witness in their communities. They are not just “another church organisation for those who are keen on that sort of thing.” Instead, they provide a space to ask: Which decisions and activities could we be doing together, rather than separately?

Many Churches Together Groups have been active for years. Some work under a Covenant agreement, with local church leaders making a public commitment to shared mission. Others unite in regular prayer and worship, join forces for social action projects, or collaborate around special events such as the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity or Lenten study groups.

There are several Churches Together Groups across Devon — you’ll find a list below. Where possible, clicking on a group’s name will take you to their website.
