Local Ecumenical Partnerships (LEPs) and United Churches
Local Ecumenical Partnerships (LEPs) and United Churches are formal expressions of ecumenism in England, where two or more Christian denominations agree to share mission, ministry, and often buildings. They work together under a covenant or other agreement, enabling congregations to worship, serve, and witness as one while retaining links with their parent denominations. These partnerships are a visible sign of Christian unity in action. Devon is home to a good number of LEPs and United Churches, each reflecting the commitment of local Christians to work and worship together for the good of their communities.
